We're open for the 2022 season, which we hope will be our busiest season ever, post-Covid.

 

Visits to the hangars by non-members of the public are organised by PRIOR arrangement ONLY.

 

We prefer family visits (1-2 car loads of 6-8 people approx.), but are also accepting Larger Group visits (up to 40 people) again.

 

A Volunteer Tour Guide – on their own time – would specifically drive to the hangars to meet the small group within each organised tour slot, so please understand that from the outset.

HOW TO BOOK A TOUR

There are up to 4 tour slots available daily (7 days) at 10.30am / 11am and 2pm/2.30pm, and will last approximately 2 hours. 

Please do NOT just arrive out of the blue during a week day. You will be turned away! You MUST book first please as the hangars are not always open.

 

An E-mailed pre-booking MUST be made for all visits and we need the following:

 Date & Time Slot preferred

Number of Family members that will be visiting with you

your Car registration

your Contact Mobile Number

Anyone wishing to visit with family, should make a booking at least 2 weeks prior via E-MAIL first.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

*Your family visit is FREE OF CHARGE, yes FREE, however the UAS survives on both donations and our volunteers' own time and energy.

 

We hope you are inspired with what you see and experience and feel the aviation passion of volunteers.

 

It is up to you how much you feel it was worth after the personal tour is over but we are very appreciative and welcome a donation afterwards.

Yes, we have secure Contactless Card facilities at the hangars that can accept all Credit or Debit Cards / ApplePay / GooglePay etc.

WHAT HAPPENS THEN?

Once you have e-mailed your Pre-Booking (the only way we will accept Bookings currently), we will contact you to confirm (either via E-mail or Mobile) your Booking, or if your preferred date & time are not available; we'll then ask you to select another convenient date & time instead.

I WANT TO BRING A LARGER GROUP?

With advanced pre-booking we are again, happy to accept bookings from larger groups including schools, which have a booking fee.

Important Notes to the Public hoping to visit us:

  • All applications must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the visit date.

  • Please note that family visits are only usually available between March and October. We are normally closed to any visitors between November~February due to winter conditions (as the hangars are extremely "baltic" cold during winter months).

Notes to UAS Members:

Members are welcome all year round (especially Saturdays) if face masks and Social Distancing measures are adhered to.

Members may also arrange to bring their family too (by prior appointment). See above.
